Video Carousel in SharePoint

Video Carousel is excellent to show multimedia content from variety of sources in a single place. It’s great for Learning and Development sites but can be used anywhere.

To use this app look for the following web part in your SharePoint page section.

We recommend adding a video carousel to a Full-Width section to make your site look website-like.

Adding and updating videos

To add new videos, follow these steps:

  1. Access web part properties.
  2. In the property pane, click the button titled [Add/Remove videos]

  3. Add video Title, URL, and optionally description.

NOTE: Please add at least 3 videos for the carousel to work. Videos can come from YouTube, Stream, Vimeo, or anywhere else where embed feature is allowed.

:warning: When embedding Stream videos, please go to the video in Stream, click Share, and copy the full iframe like this:

Then paste the copied iframe into the web part. For YouTube, Vimeo or other media, simply copy the URL to the video.

  1. Click the [Save] button.
Enable or Disable video autoplay

Autoplay can turned on/off when copying the embed copy from the source.
For example, if you’re embedding a video from Stream, you can turn off autoplay there, like this:

Then copy the embed code to Origami Video web part and it’ll obey your Stream embed settings.
