Pop-Up Notes App

Web part name (as shown in web part properties) to which you’re suggesting an enhancement
I think people could get a lot of use out of a notes “pop-up” component, and whether it can write to a list/Excel-style store.

What is current web part behavior (or look) that doesn’t work for you?
There just isn’t an option so far for this.

What would you like the web part behavior (or look) to be?
We’re envisioning a lightweight pop‑up notes experience that would allow users to quickly add, save, and later view notes without navigating away from the page—for example, an “Add Note” action that opens a panel or modal. Ideally, notes would be stored in a structured way (such as a SharePoint list or comparable data source), with the ability to surface them later via a “See all notes” view.

What is the scenario for which you need the suggested new look/behavior?

For our new Project Hub sharepoint site. This would allow anyone working on the same project to see and share notes.

Thank your for your suggestion @mfslayton, do you have a few mockups of what this would look like?

Absolutely! Below is a rough mock-up showing what the Notes pop-up could look like. I’ve included one example of the default, collapsed state and another showing how it could appear when expanded.

Ideally, these notes would be collected in a centralized Microsoft List for easy user access. It would also be great to allow users to choose which sources the notes are pulled from.

Thank you for clarifying, it’s a bit outside the scope of what Origami aims to solve for now.
Have you considered OneNote: https://onenote.cloud.microsoft
It does a lot of things you’re suggesting and more and allows sharing of notes.
