Mandatory read reminder

The Mandatory Read Reminder is a companion web part to the Mandatory Read/Policy Acknowledgment. It conveniently displays a personalized list of mandatory compliance items each user needs to read and accept, sorted by upcoming deadlines.

  • The Mandatory Read Reminder automatically pulls items from active Mandatory Read/Policy Acknowledgment web part on published pages where a current users department is targeted.
  • Users only see items targeted to their department.

To add a web part, simply click the (+) button in the section of your SharePoint page and look for the web part as shown below:

Setting up the web part

For Mandatory Read Reminder to start showing reminders, ensure:

  • The Mandatory Read/Policy Acknowledgment web part is active on at least one published page.
  • All pages containing the Mandatory Read web part are published and not left as drafts. Unpublished or draft pages will not sync correctly.

Synchronization Time

  • Any changes or updates made to the Mandatory Read/Policy Acknowledgment web part (such as adding to new pages or editing existing ones) may take up to two hours to reflect in the Mandatory Read Reminder.
  • Allow for this two-hour synchronization window after publishing any changes.
Change style

You can make it so the web part shows more items before it start showing the scroll bar.
The height of the web part can be updated in web part properties:
