Can we get the "banner with news" but so you can remove the spotlight and only show three stories

Web part name (as shown in web part properties) to which you’re suggesting an enhancement

Could be “banner with news” or “news carousel” and you add a banner.
What is current web part behavior (or look) that doesn’t work for you?

We don’t want a “spotlight” we just want to be able to show a few things at a time at the top of the intranet. If we need a spotlight, we would switch to that that when necessary.

We just don’t always have a big story to highlight - but we do have things we want to be able to pin to the top - and we love having the banner and don’t want to lose that - which you lose when you do just the carousel. plus the news carousel, the rectangles are really large - and we like the sleaker look of the smaller squares that are part of the ““news plus banner”

• Single section + section background
• Heading web part
• News Center

Hello!

I find updating the “news center” pages to be confusing.

I like being able just to link to the necessary pages that you are able to do with spotlight plus news. It shows more of an announcement than just a document dump - if that makes sense. This is harder to manage for the user.

this is what i mean - this interface is really great, and the news center doesnt have it.
