Adding the Alert Banner App
- Click on “Add an app” on the SharePoint internet site.
- If the Origami Promo Alert feature is installed by the administrator, it can be added.
- Wait for the app to be added, usually just a few seconds.

Enabling and Customizing the Alert Banner
- The alert banner is visible in edit mode and can be changed.
- To enable the alert for readers, click on the gear icon and select “Enable alert.”
- Type in the alert message and attach a link if needed.
- Customize the font color, size, gradient color, and style of the alert banner.
- Click “Save” when ready to save the alert.
Displaying Alerts from another SharePoint site
- You can display an alert from another site on the current site.
- Go into edit mode, click on the gear icon, and select “Show alert from another site.”
- Paste the URL of the site with the desired alert.
- The alert will change to match the styling and text from the other site’s alert.
- This allows for sharing alerts across different sites, making it convenient and useful for managing alerts centrally.
