Origami web parts use Microsoft Graph to understand which users belong to which Microsoft 365 Groups. This is required for features like link targeting, personalized visibility, and audience-aware content.
To enable this, SharePoint needs permission to perform a small set of Microsoft Graph calls.
Previously this was done through Azure App Registrations. Microsoft has since moved these permissions into the SharePoint Admin Center under API access, and approving them now takes only a few clicks.
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Open the app launcher and select Admin.

Open the SharePoint Admin Center
In the left navigation, scroll to Admin centers and select SharePoint. -
Go to API access
In the SharePoint Admin Center, expand Advanced, then select API access. -
Approve the pending Microsoft Graph request
Look under Pending requests, select the item for Microsoft Graph, and click Approve at the top.
Once approved, give the change about an hour to fully propagate across your tenant.
