Filtering and/or more organisation to folder grouping display in Search Banner

Web part name (as shown in web part properties) to which you’re suggesting an enhancement - Search Banner
What is current web part behavior (or look) that doesn’t work for you? No ability to limit the folders that appear under search banner and the order in which they appear is random. I have a list longer than the page I wanted because its take every folder in the library and then every folder under each folder
> Have a screenshot (please do not include confidential info in your screenshots)?

What would you like the web part behavior (or look) to be?
- Choose to limit the folders that appear to the top level, not have all folders at every level of the library
- Appear in a logical order, maybe alphabetical?
- Possibly even select which folders appear on there entirely, maybe i don’t want to see all the folders under search.
> Have a sketch or a mockup?
What is the scenario for which you need the suggested new look/behavior?
To actually be able to effectively use the search banner to search large amounts of information in an ordered and logical manner (which i think is it’s core purpose…?). Having the folder cards/filters as they are now is just not usable

Thank you for sharing your enhancement request and providing all the details! Your request is clear and we will post an update when this reaches the implementation stage.

We have an update on how this can be accomplished with the Search Banner now.
To set specific folders under the banner search box, you can create a SharePoint view as shown here for each of the buttons:
Section (Group documents by a metadata or a view: Search Banner Web Part):

The view can pull files based on the metadata and not only on the folder.
Does this accomplish your end goal indirectly?
