We have many studios across the world and we would like to audience target articles so that only the concerned studios see the articles.
I would like to see one article per studio, hence have an audience targeting option, like you have for Quick Links Plus:

Here is what I’m referring to as Category:
News Center already supports targeting by permission. The targeting works a bit different than in Quick Links, here is how:
News Center will respect SharePoint permission and not show article the user is not permitted to see.

We currently use Categories in the News Center, but they don’t fully meet our needs. For each announcement, we create three versions of the same article (as shown in the screenshot), and we want each version to appear only for the appropriate audience group.
Ideally, we would like:
All articles to remain in All News, since that’s where employees naturally go.
The content to vary by studio, so employees only see the version relevant to their location.
This would allow us to show the right article to the right group without creating clutter or confusion. SharePoint pages and web parts support audience targeting, so I’m wondering whether similar audience targeting is available for the News Center.
Is this possible?
