Anniversay (Live): Filter view 5 year intervals

Would like to see option to allow a focused pull of anniversaries by 5 years intervals. We have always displayed this way to cut down on page clutter and have huge hiring times where we could potentially have 60+ shown in that list if we can’t limit that to 5, 10, 15, etc… year buckets view.
thank you!

Thank you for the suggestion! If you have a visual of how you’d like the final result to look (without including any private user information), that would be really helpful.

Hello - does this help? Basically we’ve always show only 5 years anniversary dates, with this pulling every single year by default it’s a bit of a bear to click through as we have big summer hiring batches

Thank you for clarifying this and for providing the screenshot!

Some of the functionality you’re asking for would slightly interfere with how other clients are using this web part, so we’ve worked on a solution that gives as much flexibility as possible without causing conflicts.

Would it work for you if we added a filter at the top—similar to how the Origami Calendar works—where a default range is set, but users can change the view based on their needs?

For example:

With this setup, if someone is celebrating their 11-year anniversary, they’ll still appear under “All Anniversaries” but not under “5-Year Anniversaries,” since that grouping is intentional.

Would above functionality work for you?
We’ll try to balance flexibility while keeping the experience consistent for all clients.

I think that’s a better set up for more flexible options, yeah! It’d also be another opportunity for some engagement on the homepage for users to interact with.

We do have some 40+ employees so that five years would need to really go aways out there to make sure no ones dropping off for any big ones. Or is that 25 years meaning 25+ years? We previously showed each milestone anniversary, in 5-year intervals, starting at 5th year and up from there

Would filtering the labels into interval buckets be a potential?

  • 1 year
  • 5-20 years
  • 25+ years
  • Custom Range

Clarifying

  • filtering for ‘5 years’ would give me all 5, 10, 15, 20 year anny &
  • the ’25 years’ would group 25, 30, 35, 40+ in that interval view

Thanks for getting back with me so quickly with a new idea!

or even an admin/user mix case:

Default view has the option to be set at 5-year intervals in the admin panel, then users can filter however they want in the part from those filters to expand the list if they want. We’re just trying to get the page to show 5 year intervals rather than every, daily anniversary

Thanks!

Thank you for sharing these designs — they’re very helpful!
We’re leaning toward the first option you provided (with ranges like 5–10, 10–20, etc.) as it aligns well with how our existing users interact, while still supporting your needs.

Okay thanks – it’ll be great to surface in the web part only when they hit those milestones 5-year intervals on the page, really clean up the list that way without seeing every single hire date each day

Thanks again for considering!

Would this design update work?

The drop-down would have these two options for users to select (default can be set by admin):

  • All Anniversaries selection would show everyone’s anniversary as it does now
  • 5-Year Milestones would display people who have hit 5, 10, 15, 20 … [+5 year intervals] milestones
  • Ex1: Anyone below 5 years is not displayed since they have not yet hit 5-year mark
  • Ex2: If someone has been with a company for 11 years, they will not be displayed this year, they will be displayed 4 years from now when they hit 15 years
  • Ex3: If someone was with the company 9 years, they will not be displayed this year, but they will be displayed next year when they hit 10 year

Would this accomplish your goal?
