# Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) web part

> FAQ is used to answer some of the most common questions users might have when reading the piece of content to avoid emails to authors of the page.

On the page where you need to show the web part, add any section and pick this web part:

> **Adding and updating FAQs**
>
> To update the FAQ items, open the web part properties and click the Add/Remove FAQs button:

> You can add the FAQ text as shown below:

> You can also change the order of existing FAQs.

> By default, FAQs stay opened. If you want them collapsed when a new FAQ is clicked, you can toggle this option in the web part properties:

> **Updating FAQ style**

> You can update the color of FAQ items by setting the color from web part properties:

> You can also change how the FAQ is positioned on the page and align it to other page elements:

> **Search**

> ✅ **Available in FAQ version Feb 14, 2025**  
> You can enable search within items and set the prompt text as shown below:

> **Known issues**
>
> When inserting images be sure to insert full image URL (file ending with PNG or JPG).  
> If your image is stored in SharePoint, you can get full URL by opening the image from the document library first, and then getting full URL by clicking **View original** as shown below:
